Yodel is a 6 month old terrier mix who came to AZSDR from the County shelter.
Yodel was initially diagnosed with an unspecified neurological issue, and eating difficulties due to several retained baby teeth. He had some dental work done, has now reached a healthy weight, and most of the neuro issues appear to have significantly diminished.
Yodel is an energetic, playful little guy looking for his forever home with a family who can appreciate his unique qualities. He does display some separation anxiety and doesn’t like to be away from his playmates or people for long. Yodel would love a family who is home a lot and will have patience as he figures out his new home, and would love another furry friend to play with. Yodel is partially housebroke, and is very good about using pottie pads and crying to go out. He is uncertain of men initially but does warm up. Yodel loves soft toys, tag, tug of war, and laps around the backyard. Due to his high energy Yodel will need a home with a yard to run in. He may require some extra supervision because he trips frequently and his balance is a little off. Yodel’s vision isn’t 20-20 and his hearing isn’t the best, but he is sweet and playful and a joy to have around. Yodel would be a better fit for older children as he gets a little nippy when excited and he is startled easily because he can’t hear very well, so children who understand his unique needs would be best. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and vet checked. His adoption comes with 30 days of free pet insurance, and with a free vet visit. His adoption fee is $300.
