Dudley is an estimated 10 month old purebred Basset Hound looking for his forever home. He found himself as a stray at the County shelter and his owner never came. Dudley weighs in at 30lbs currently. He is an outgoing, happy, playful, active pup looking for an active home. He is great with other dogs big or small and is good with kids of all ages. He does jump so older kids that are dog savy is recommended. He is good with cats, but does chase and bark at them if they don't play with him. He LOVES toys, loves playing with other dogs or cats, and loves being with his people. His ideal home would have a yard, a playful dog or 2 that would play with him, and owners who aren't gone too long during the day. He is a barker, as most Bassets are, so apartments or HOA's are not recommended. He is fully house broken with a dog door, is leash trained, and rides well in the car. He is a smart boy who is eager to learn some tricks and forever love his people. He does try to steal human food and can dart out the door if given the chance. Dudley will need routine check ups &/or meds for his ears, as Bassets are susceptible to ear infections. It is also important he stays at a healthy weight and is not over weight. Dudley is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, dewormed, vet checked, and licensed. His adoption fee is $500. To meet him, come to our location at 1102 W. Hatcher Road in Phoenix 85021, open Tues-Sunday 11am to 6pm. It's best that any dogs in the home come to meet Dudley too to ensure it is a good fit. On weekends, call for location as some of our dogs attend off site adoption events, 602-944-2440.
