Tug is a goofy 7 month old Long Hair Chihuahua mi looking for a home just as special as himself. He weighs just under 7 pounds and may have a little bit of growing left to do. Tug came to us from the County shelter where he was taken in as a stray. When they had first gotten him he was not bearing any weight on his back right leg, after monitoring him and seeing no change they decided Xrays were needed. Tug had some how ended up with a fractured distal femur. The fracture was minimally comminuted and displaced, meaning he had fractured the bone into many places and the bones were out of alignment. After amputation, healing and getting his staples removed, Tug has shown us just how much fun he can be! Tug loves to run in the yard and play tag, having only three legs means absolutely nothing to him. He is a very loving and energetic puppy who would make a great addition to any family. Tug has loved everyone he comes into contact with and constantly has a happy glow to him. He has not had any accidents in his kennel and ma be kennel trained. He is still a puppy and may require some training in his forever home, but will learn very fast. Tug needs a securely fenced backyard where he can get out all of his energy and an active family that will provide him with all the love he deserves. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, dewormed, vet checked. His adoption fee is $300 which includes a free vet visit and 30 days of free pet insurance. To meet him, come to our location at 1102 W. Hatcher Road in Phoenix 85021, open Tues-Sunday 11am to 6pm.
