Selena is an adorable 2 month old Australian Shepherd mix looking for her forever home! She currently weighs 12 pounds and still has lots of extra room to grow. Selena was one of nine bottle babies that came to us from Tuba City Humane Society. If you haven't seen their story, volunteers had been searching for the location of the puppies for more than a week, knowing that a stray momma dog had given birth outside. (This is a momma dog that numerous volunteers had been trying to catch for more than a month.) Finally the puppies were located, in a wet culvert. Volunteers dug out mud, and one person crawled 12 feet into the culvert to reach them, and they were rescued. It was very cold, and that night there was a blizzard. The next day water poured through that culvert. If it weren't for the dedicated volunteers these puppies probably wouldn't be with us today. They came to AZSDR and immediately went to amazing bottle baby fosters who have cared for them since they arrived. With the help of a call out post and many generous donations, we did not have to worry about getting puppy formula for these little piglets that love to eat! Selena is just one of them and sweet girl full of love! She has tons of energy and will play with anyone who gives her attention. Selena is great with dogs of all sizes and people of all ages! She needs an active home that will be able to keep up with her and continue to train her as he grows. No apartments or rentals with breed or weight restrictions. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and vet checked. Her adoption comes with 30 days of free pet insurance, and comes with a free vet visit.
