George is a timid 2 year old Beagle/ Chihuahua mix looking for his forever home. He weighs 26.6 pounds and is full grown. George will need a patient home willing to let him warm up and adjust at his own pace. He is leery of new people and takes time to build trust. George does the best with women, he is very fearful of men but with time, space, and some bribing he will bond with his people. He has never been around children that we know of, we would recommend his home have no children or older teens that understand to respect his boundaries and that it will take time for him to warm up. George loves cats his best friend in his previous home was a cat named Carol. He has never lived with other dogs but may do okay with a calm dog his size or smaller with a proper slow introduction. George is house broken, kennel trained, walks good on a leash and rides well in the car. He loves going for walks, that would be a great way for him to build trust with his new people! George may require multiple meet and greets before getting adopted. Please bring everyone in the home to meet with him before adoption, including any dogs in the home. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and vet checked. His adoption is $220 and includes a free vet visit and 30 days of free pet insurance. To meet him, come to our location at 1102 W. Hatcher Road in Phoenix 85021, open Tues-Sunday 11am to 6pm.
