Spot is a timid 1.5 year old Dachshund/ Cattle Dog mix looking for his forever home. He weighs 28.6 pounds and seems to be about done growing. Spot is a very sweet boy but may need time and patience to warm up and get used to new people and environments -- it doesn't take long though, we promise! Once he warms up, you would never guess just how affectionate and loving he is! He has done well with men, women, and has lived with children as young as 6 years old per his previous owner. Spot loves to get attention and give kisses to thank you and/or to get your attention. He loves to play with other dogs his size or smaller. Please bring any potential canine companions to meet with Spot prior to adoption to ensure it is a good match. Spot LOVES to play fetch and loves having "jobs". He is an active boy that will need an active home/lifestyle, and will need a home with a yard so he can do his daily zoomies! Spot is house broken (he may need reminders as he adjusts), and rides well in the car. He will need to be very secure when riding in the car or when his people are going in and out of doors. If spooked he will dart and keep running until he thinks he is safe -- these are easy and managable precautions. He loves jumping up in laps on the couch or in the recliners to snuggle up and sleep and is such a sweetheart. Spot will be a very loyal and affectionate boy for a lucky family ready to love on a new family member. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, vet checked and microchipped.
