Until further notice to adhere to CDC's recommendations, meet and greets and adoption are appointment only. ** Chance is a 1.5 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel/Dachshund mix who is looking for just the right forever family. He weighs 13 pounds and is full grown. Chance came to us in search of a new home because he was not getting along well with the other animals in the home, so he is looking for a family where he won't have to share his people and can be the only pet and center of attention. Chance is a bit shy, but warms up very quickly and becomes a happy playful boy. He really loves his people and gets separation anxiety when they leave, so he would be happiest not left alone often. Chance does like to use his voice, so no apartments please, only homes with yards to run and bark in. Chance prefers women and may like his ladies the best. Chance is house broken and knows how to use a dog door. He loves to cuddle and play with toys. Chance is good on a leash and in the car, but needs to be watched very carefully near doors as he is a jumper and door darter who will make an escape if given the opportunity. He does not care for strangers, and really wants to protect his people, so he would do best in a home where there are little no visitors or a home where he can be put away when visitors come over. We do not recommend a home with children unless they are older teens. He may do best in a single person home. Chance needs a home with a securely fenced yard to show off his zoomies! He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and vet checked. His adoption fee of $320 includes a free vet visit.
