To set up a day and time, email adopt@azsmalldog.org or call 602-944-2440. Maisie is a goofy 3.5 year old West Highland Terrier mix looking for her forever home. She weighs 8.2 pounds and is full grown. Maisie greets every morning with a giant smile and big tail wags! There will never be a sad day when she is around. Maisie loves making new friends and has done great with men, women, and older children. She can be a bit rough when playing toys and may not do well around young children. Maisie has done great with other dogs her size her at the shelter in play groups. In her previous home Maisie did not get along with the large female dog. Maisie does best with male dogs, but has done well with almost every dog she has met if they are her size, Please bring any potential canine companions to meet with Maisie prior to adoption. Maisie does enjoy having all the attention on herself and wouldn't mind being the only canine in the home. She does well with cats, but may chase them sometimes. Maisie is house broken (handstands when peeing), kennel trained, walks good on a leash and rides well in the car. No matter the set backs she has, Maisie will get back up and do a zoomie! Maisie requires daily medication for a heart condition. We will provide her adopter with this medication as well as 6 additional refills. She will require veterinary check-ups annually. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, vet checked and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $200 and includes 30 days of complementary pet insurance and a free vet visit.
