Sherman is a rambunctious 10 month old German Shepherd ready for long hikes, running trails and endless games of fetch! He is a large boy at 61.6 pounds who may have a couple more pounds to put on. Sherman is very active and needs a home with an active enough lifestyle to challenge him. He loves to play all day and also get as much love as possible. He can be a bit shy and stand offish when meeting people outside of his circle but is easily won over with toys and treats. Sherman is great with all adults and has been around children comfortable with his size. He previously lived in a yard and has not received the proper socialization as a puppy. Sherman is required to meet any potential canine companions prior to adoption. He also would not mind be the center of attention in his forever home. Sherman was said to be house broken, but may need training. He rides great in the car but will need humans ready to become pack leaders and teach how to be a gentleman. Sherman is very treat and toy motivated and can be used as rewards. He needs a securely fenced backyard to learn all his new tricks and show off his long strides. This boy will throw you a long ball to be the greatest catch ever! No apartments or rentals with breed or weight restrictions. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, vet checked and microchipped. His adoption fee is $300 and includes 30 days of complementary pet insurance and a free vet visit. To meet with Sherman, please visit our shelter located at 1102 W Hatcher Rd Phoenix, AZ 85021. We are open Tuesday through Sunday, 11am-6pm. Please understand until further notice there will be 10 clients allowed in the building at once to continue social distancing practices.
