Fig Newtons; known by all and loved by many! Sweet and filled with love, at least that is what our Fig Newton is filled with! He is a Corgi/ Pit Bull mix looking for his forever home. He weighs 46 pounds and is full grown. Fig is very timid and leery of strangers. He will need a human that understands he will need time and patience to break out of his shell. Fig needs a home with no children under the age of 18. He is a ladies man and prefers females, he seems to be very intimidated by most men. Fig would prefer a home with his chosen human and few visitors. He will become the protector of the house and will defend his turf and human to the best of his ability. Fig will need a strong pack leader to let him be comfortable yet learn there are rules in the home he needs to follow. He has done well with other dogs his size but prefers to be the center of attention. Fig is house broken (though may need reminders), kennel trained, and rides well in the car. He does get a bit frightened of the leash but once it is on he walks like a gentleman. Fig Newton will require training as he adjusts in his forever home. No apartments or rentals with breed or weight restrictions.  He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, vet checked and microchipped. His adoption fee is $20 0 and includes a free vet visit. To meet with him, please visit our shelter located at 1102 W Hatcher Rd Phoenix, AZ 85021. We are open Tuesday through Sunday, 11am-6pm. Please understand until further notice there will be 10 clients allowed in the building at once to continue social distancing practices.
