Until further notice, to adhere to CDC's recommended sanitation guidelines and to promote social distancing, meet & greets and adoptions are by appointment only. To potentially adopt him, please send an application (found on our website azsmalldog.org) to adopt@azsmalldog.org. Gator is a timid tan 1 year old Chihuahua mix who was recently saved from the county shelter. Gator will need a loving and understanding family who will give him time to come around on his own terms and love him gently until he settles and becomes comfortable. Gator is very fearful with new people, but is good with small dogs. He would benefit from a small, gentle but confident canine companion in his forever home. Gator will need an adult only home and lots of patience. He will need training, likely including house training in his forever home. Gator has a sweet heart hidden behind a shy and fearful exterior, but will make a loyal lovebug for the family patient enough to find his best side. Gator weighs 7 pounds full grown. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, vet checked and microchipped. His adoption fee is $220 which includes a free vet visit. To make an appointment to meet him please email adopt@azsmalldog.org or call the shelter at 602-944-2440.
