Papa Smurf is estimated to be 11 months of age and likely a Terrier/ Chinese Crested-Powder Puff mix. He is full grown but was underweight when he joined the shelter therefore, he might put a few pounds on in the coming months. Currently Papa Smurf weighs 8.5 pounds. Papa is looking for a home with other dog(s). He currently cuddles and plays with his foster sibling (a chihuahua). Having other animals to play with, learn boundaries from, and for nap time would be ideal. Papa walks on a leash but would prefer a house with a backyard for zoomies. He has puppy energy and needs some space to get up to speed and run. He is doggy door curious but his foster home has Coyotes and therefore has not been allowed to use it. He has had a few accidents in the house when he first arrived but has quickly learned to signal when he needs to go out. When he's not busy playing with his foster sibling he loves nap time. His preference is to sleep in your arms at night. If you hug a pillow at night and are looking for a replacement, he's your man. He also sleeps well in his kennel. It would be best to kennel him when you leave the house. As a puppy he is very curious about everything and you might come home to gnawed items. His foster home does not have cats or other pets, nor has he been around children. Papa doesn't have a mean bone in his body and most likely would try to play with other pets and children. He can be timid at first until he determines you're safe. Then he will be your shadow. He is neutered, up to date on  vaccines, microchipped and vet checked. His adoption fee of $400 includes a free vet visit.
