Chickpea is a sweet pea of a dog and will always be ready to snuggle you! She is a 3 year old Dachshund/ Jack Russell Terrier mix that weighs 15 pounds full grown. Chickpea has loved being around humans of all genders especially if they don't mind her climbing in their lap. She has not been around children that we know of but she is such a gentle girl she may do well with dog savvy children. Chickpea was surrendered with 4 other canines and may do best with a canine companion to bond with. Though she may enjoy being the center of attention if her humans are home more often than not. Chickpea walks good on a leash but may require additional training as she adjusts. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, vet checked and microchipped. Her adoption fee of $220 includes a free vet visit. To potentially adopt Chickpea, please come to our shelter location at 1102 W Hatcher Rd in Phoenix 85021, open Tuesday to Sunday 11am to 6pm. --Covid update: To adhere to CDC guidelines, we are open for adoptions only at a max capacity of 15 people in the building at a time.
