Sam Ripley is a handsome 1 year old Chihuahua mix who is looking for a forever home to call his own. He weighs 11.8 pounds and seems to be done growing. Sam Ripley is a very friendly, but shy boy who will need a patient and understanding family to love him gently while he comes around. Sam Ripley is good with other small dogs and happy to have a canine companion near his size. He is likely not house broken, so he will need patience as he adjusts. He is rather good on a leash, but also a potential escape artist, so he will need to be walked with extra caution. Sam came to us through HARTT, a trapping organization who humanely traps dogs who have been otherwise to fearful to be rescued. Sam will need a home with a very secure yard, no apartments please.  He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and vet checked. His adoption fee of $300 includes a free vet visit. To potentially adopt Austin, please come to our shelter location at 1102 W Hatcher Rd in Phoenix 85021, open Tuesday to Sunday 11am to 6pm. --Covid update: To adhere to CDC guidelines, we are open for adoptions only at a max capacity of 15 people in the building at a time.
