Meet Kalista! This adorable, unique girl needs a patient home who is willing to give her time to warm-up. Kalista is the ultimate sour patch kid: first she’s sour, then she’s sweet. When Kalista is feeling sour, she needs a little space and does not like being picked up. When she’s feeling sweet, she will jump in your lap and give you unlimited kisses. Once Kalista is comfortable, she will be your little shadow. She loves children of all ages -- dog savy children is recommended. Kalista would love to be the only dog in the home but might be ok in a home with another calm dog. A dog introduction is required and she must meet the whole family living in the home. Kalista is very treat motivated - she knows how to sit and would be happy to learn some additional commands. She needs some work walking on a leash, but she does know how to use the doggy door. Kalista’s two favorite things are nap time and playing with plush squeaky toys. Kalista has had a long journey and is ready to find her forever home. She is currently being treated for valley fever, and will come with a 90 day supply of her medication which is easy to administer.
