He has fur like a Lab, a body like a Corgi minus the tale, and smaller in size. He is a beautiful boy, this much we do know for certain! Oso came to us because it was not working in his previous home as he is very leery of new people. When he first came to us, it took some time for him to understand we are ok and not going to hurt him. After he is comfortable, he is the sweetest boy that will jump in your lap, is super silly, and very playful. He has never lived with another dog, but has done well with small dogs here and has enjoyed playing with them. He may like a playful companion in his new home, but a dog intro is required to make sure it is a good fit as he can be selective of his friends. We recommend an adult home only, and a home where they aren't a lot of visitors. Because his leery of strangers, a home with his own private yard would be ideal. He has mild separation anxiety when his people are gone for too long, so a home where his people aren't gone for more than 5 hours a day may be best. He is a good boy who is housebroken, walks well on leash, and rides well in the car. He also knows his basic commands such as sit, stay, shake (or paw). He loves toys - especially stuffed animals and ropes. To potentially adopt him, please come to our shelter location anytime during business hours; Tuesday-Sunday 11am-6pm.
