Kalena is a playful 1 year old chihuahua/dachshund mix in search of her forever home! She weighs 10 pounds and is full grown. This little girl is timid at first and takes a little bit to warm up, but once she knows you, she will start to show her true colors. She is such a happy and sweet girl, she will need an active home that can play fetch with her all day long then crash on the couch together. Kalena gains a lot of confidence from being around other dogs. Due to this, she will need another playful and confident canine companion in her forever home! She's been good with small and medium dogs but hasn't been around a large dog yet. She will need to meet with any other dogs in the home before adoption. Kalena has been good with women that she's warmed up to. She is more leery of men but is sure to warm up if allowed to at her own pace. We do not know if she has ever been around children, we do not recommend young children due to her fear of fast movements. Kalena was originally found as a stray and will likely need housebreaking training along with basic manners. She will be your shadow once she warms up and seems easy to train! She needs a home with vigilant owners and a very securely fenced in back yard. She does not know how to walk on a leash and will need to perfect this skill in a secured area before walking in public. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and vet checked.
