Garrett is a handsome 1 year old Basenji mix looking for his forever home! He was originally found as a stray and unfortunately no one came forward for him. Garrett can be shy at first and tends to be more independent until he is comfortable. He needs a family that will respect his boundaries as he adjusts to his new home. He is a sweet heart that loves attention and play time once he’s comfortable. He is good with other dogs but he will need to meet with any living in the home before adoption. Garrett may need housebreaking training, leash training, and basic manners. He does well in a kennel and seems to hold his pee until it’s time to go outside! Garrett will need a home with a securely fenced in yard to learn in, he cannot be left outside unattended as he is a climber and may try to find a way out. To meet Garrett, please bring everyone in the home including any other dogs to our shelter location, 1102 W Hatcher Rd. Phoenix, AZ Open Tuesday-Sunday from 11am-6pm
