Zahara is a darling young gal looking for a loving forever family. Zahara made her way to us as a stray and we very quickly realized this poor little lady had been running the streets with babies on board. She was posted stray, but no family came forward and we quickly got her settled in to a loving foster home so she didn't have to have her babies in a shelter. Zahara has been a wonderful mom and is looking for a family to care for her now. Zahara is looking for a mature dog savvy family and would do best with teens and adults. Zahara would be happy to be the star of the show and center of attention. If going home with a companion she will need a slow intro first. Zahara loves to play fetch, but also enjoys her time with people. She is a lovable lap dog who gives great kisses. She would do well in a home with someone home often and will need a home with a fenced yard until she can learn to trust a leash. She seems house broken in her foster home and prefers to do her business outside. She loves her people around and enjoys play time, especially tug o war. Zahara is timid with new people and may take training to learn her perfect house manners and polite play.
