Bear Bear is a shy boy looking for a patient home to give him the time and love that he needs to adjust. He came to us after his owner was no longer able to care for him. Bear Bear was pretty shy when he first came to us, but he didn’t take long to accept us wanting to love on him. He flinches when being pet at first, and is really unsure, but once he knows you aren’t going to hurt him he settles and enjoys the love. We aren’t sure of his past as he was originally found, but we feel he may have been abused or just not treated the best :( He likes the company of women, but isn’t fond of children or or strangers. How he is with men is unknown, but it may take time for him to come around based on his behavior. He is not a fan of cats, is ok with other small dogs, but wouldn’t mind being the only dog in his home either. He is housebroken with a doggy door, is kennel trained, and rides well in the car. He isn’t the greatest on a leash, and dislikes loud noises or fast movements, so a home with a yard would be best. His perfect home would be a patient woman/women, that isn’t gone too long, and is ready to treat Bear Bear like a prince. To meet him, come to our location with any current dogs living in the home and everyone that lives in the home, to ensure it is a good fit.
