Sophie Girl is a fearful little lass who just needs a gentle and understanding person or family who will allow her to come around on her own terms. Sophie Girl is timid with fast movement and doesn't appreciate being grabbed but will happily make her way into the arms and lap of those she trusts and happily be carried or cuddle on the couch. Sophie is a loyal lovebug who bonds quickly and hates to see you leave, so she will be best in a home where someone is home more often than not. Sophie is good with other dogs of all sizes and may benefit from a gentle but confident canine companion for when the humans have to be gone. Sophie needs a securely fenced yard to patio as a safe space until she is comfortable with her people on a leash. To meet Sophie come to the shelter with all family members and current dogs during business hours.
