India is a very shy little girl that was a rescue transfer from Humane Society of Yuma. She will need a patient and loving home that is willing to work with her to help her trust her new humans. Foster Mom says that India has come a long way since being in her home. India’s foster Mom is not sure if she may have suffered some abuse or just generally had very little if any interaction with human touch. Once she becomes more comfortable in a home you will begin to see her blossom every day. She enjoys a great massage once she feels comfortable with you. India spends her days hanging out in her Foster Mom’s office with all the other dogs in the household.

Given India’s fear factor, foster Mom is suggesting a home without children. Foster Mom is also looking for a home that has at least one confident dog in the home. India takes her queues from watching the other dogs in the foster home interact with humans. This definitely helps her learn to trust.

  • Housebroken if kept on a schedule

  • Sleeps through the night in foster Mom’s bed

  • Gets along with all dogs (large & small) in her foster home

  • Likes toys

  • Loves to eat and eats well with all the other dogs

  • Not destructive but does like to collect slippers and shoes if available

  • Preferably a home where family is home more than not

  • Secure yard required due to not being leash trained at this time

  • Meet n greet required

  • Homecheck required for safety reasons

  • Serious inquiries only please. India will have an adjustment period in her new home. The more time spent working with her, the faster she will become comfortable.

  • If you feel your home checks all the boxes and would be a great forever home for India, please continue with the application process listed above
