Requirements:

Mavis was surrendered to the shelter alongside several of her doggie friends from the same home. She was sent to her foster home the next day where she gave birth on Christmas Eve to four healthy and stunning babies.  Mavis was a phenomenal mom and came out of her shell quickly and bonded fast with her foster mom.  Now that the puppies are ready for their forever homes, Mavis is as well! We think she would love to have a doggie companion to keep her company and help her settle into a new environment. Mavis is used to sleeping in a kennel at night and when her humans leave and, like we said before, would love to have a furry friend to snuggle in there with.  Mavis is potty trained though she’ll need help in her new home learning the rules and new routine, so we are hoping to find a family who will be patience with her. Mavis is food motivated and will learn quickly with treat reinforcement for good behaviors. She learned to walk on a leash in just a day (with treats) and does really well but, is still learning to let people pass her by since she is still unsure about strangers. Mavis is a lovely little girl who is adored by her foster mom and just wants to be next to her person(s), lay out in the sun with her friends, and be with you everywhere.
