Cubchoo This is Duke! We adopted him in January as “cubchoo”. I’ve never loved something so much in my entire life! Thanks Arizona Small Dog Rescue for helping me rescue my baby ð ð
Chico We got our dog Pickles (formerly Chico) from you in February and he has brought the greatest joy to our family!! He loves walks, meeting dog friends at the park, zoomies around the yard, cuddles, samples of meat from the dinner table and curling up at the foot of our beds. We could not love him more!!
Chip Dear Destiny, Hear are a few photos of Chip and Dale enjoying their new home. We are all settling in together very well. They had diarrhea for a few days but that seems to be resolved now. I am taking them for a veterinary visit on Thursday. We did sign up for Fry’s rewards for AZ SDR. They make us laugh and we enjoy walking them. They are fast little guys! Thanks very much for matching us up!
Cotton Candy Just want to tell you how much I am in love with Max (Cotton Candy). He is so loving, cuddly, obedient, responsive and fun. His one problem is his furr. We know that, and he is getting much better with me brushing him and even softly fingering the mattted hair on his legs and tail. I have my vet's appointment on Thursday and we will discuss how to get him shaved, and then I think brushing him daily with take care of it. As to further grooming, we'll have to see. I would never give him up....we'll find a solution, I'm sure.
He is adjusting to a natural diet, eliminating normally, had only one accident the first night.....he hadn't pooped all day.
He runs inside and out the kitchen patio door, tossing up his toys , and spying on the neighborhood dog walkers through the cracks around the gate. He sometimes barks once, but stops and comes to me immediately when I say No barking, Max! But now it is getting warmer, and I may put in my pet door. I won't let him out after dusk, or when I'm not keeping an eye on him. There were two cayotes in the neighborhood last Sunday at dusk. I do have a 6ft cinderblock wall around the patio, but I've heard they can jump to the top if they're looking for a meal.
We go on 2-3 walks a day in the neighborhood. He barks at other dogs, but then turns and runs the other way, whether on leach or on the patio. He seems to be a little scared of other dogs. I'm hoping to find the right time to introduce him to other neighborhood dogs that walk by.
So, you see, this was a good adoption. Love, and gentleness heal a lot of old memories and wounds.
Thanks for finding him for me.
