Dolce
Dolce

Hello from Tom & Cindy

Gobi (Dolce) is settling in really well.   He has had more training than we expected.   He knows sit, come, no -- he found the back door easily to ask to go out.   No accidents so far.

He is a little food finicky**, but we were prepared for that possibility.  He ended up eating a big healthy supper.   We discovered he likes carrots but doesn’t care for peas or bananas.  Trying blueberries later.      We got the simple blend kibble for small dogs from Blue Buffalo to start him off (the rep from the food co was there and gave us some big coupons).      Haven’t found a treat he likes, but I think bits of carrot will do nicely for training treats.

We took the kennel out of the closet – it was stuff with beds for storage. He was excited to see it and tried to dig beside the beds to get in it immediately.   Check – kennel training not an issue.   He went into it on his own to go to bed when we retired for the night.

He got his first walk around the neighborhood this morning – he’s a little tuggy on the leash, but no sweat. He was just excited. Once he’s king of the neighborhood we will be he struts instead of zooms.  He meets “the sitters” today (my parents).

He’s pretty clinging as he figures things out – and that’s way better than stand off-ish or hiding.   He’s got quite a sweet and playful personality.   And he smiles. Often. He finally barked.  Once.    LOL!

We just love him so much.

Thank you for helping us make the match.

**We are assuming he didn’t not get dental done because they wouldn’t do that during kennel cough.    We are going to get him scheduled for dental right away in case that is the reason for him shying away from foods / treats.

Dude

Hello Elizabeth!thank you so much for allowing us the opportunity to adopt duke(dude)! He is such a sweet boy and very protective with us! He loves to play with the kids and loves to be chase and chase around! He is a little bit picky with what he eats and in the beginning he got sick with runny poop and was gagging but I took him to vet and there was no sign of parasites and he is doing much better! Here are some pictures of him!if you can please send us the picture you took that day we brought him home please

Duke

Duke is newly named Bandersnatch and he is doing great! His first vet visit is scheduled and he is eating and sleeping great. He has already learned how to sit and is well on his way to being potty trained. He get along great with the other dogs and people in the house. He is very mellow for a puppy, though he definitely has his bursts of energy and he is absolutely made of love!

Thank you for all you guys do!

Daisy

Hello Elizabeth!

Daisy is doing amazing and has just been the perfect addition to our family! She loves going on walks with us, playing with her favorite ball, and taking naps with us. We cannot thank you enough for choosing us to be her parents. We love our Daisy girl to pieces!

On top of that, the wonderful experience and service your team gave us were the best. Giving us a few supplies to help us get started with Daisy was so kind and incredibly helpful. I've had already told many coworkers and family members that, if they plan on adopting in the future, to go to your shelter.

I've added some pictures below so you can see just how quickly Daisy has settled in. Thank you again for picking us to take home this sweet little girl.

Kind Regards,

Kacie Vehon

Doctor Scott
Doctor Scott

Thanks for following up. So far so good. Both are eating and drinking.  They are getting along just fine with the rest of our dogs (3 of them). As you noticed Dr Scott (now Scotty) was very timid when we met him. But he now seems very comfortable and he loves to lay next to us in couch. He also decided to sleep as close to me as he possibly can!! Livia (Now Bella) was a bit shy the first day. But that has certainly changed! Very active with the other dogs. Loves to sleep in our lap.

So far a very happy situation :-) Thanks to Elizabeth for helping us out.
