Jesse has been doing great since he came home! We renamed him Gideon. He rode in my lap most of the way home. He warmed up to us very quickly and has given us plenty of cuddles and kisses. He has already met many new people and has responded well to them. He’s gone on a few walks and has been going to the bathroom outside consistently. He has nipped a few times and it has helped us understand his boundaries. We are already getting some progress in harness training with him. He almost never barks. We’ve been leaving for a few hours at a time and our neighbors said they didn’t hear anything. He went inside his kennel/bed with almost no coaxing and slept silently throughout the whole night. We know there is still a ways to go with him, but these first couple days were far better than we expected. We already love Gideon very much and are happy he’s a part of our family!

I just wanted to say I plan on telling everyone we know how amazing our experience was adopting our dear Gus. He is so sweet and is starting to really show his fun and goofy personality. He and our cat would avoid each other at first but every day they get closer and closer. He loves belly rubs and is even learning some new tricks!
