Monsoon

Hi there-

Just had to tell you we have had an AMAZING time with Monsoon (now Rufus).  He has perked our older dogs right up, and they have calmed him down a bit.  He is FABULOUS.

Thank you for taking such good care of him since March.  He has already, pretty much, learned to sit!  Totally housebroken- not one accident!   He hasn't destroyed hardly anything, doesn't pull on his leash and sleeps all night!  He is staying off most of the furniture (well- we piled things on the sofa) and is just being so good.  We are kind of shocked, actually. haha.  He's enjoying racing around the yard with his new squeaky toys and two brothers!!!  We know it's early days, but he is off to a great start!

We are so grateful to you for keeping him so happy and healthy during his long stay with you.

Thought I would share some pictures/video as you all seemed to particularly take a shine to him.

Yelp Review too!: We had an amazing experience at ASDR.  We adopted a puppy who has lived much of his 5.5 mths at this shelter.  You would think he would be stressed out, suspicious or traumatized- he is absolutely NOT those things and is amazing and could not be more friendly, trusting and perky.  We just LOVE Monsoon (now Rufus) and he's enjoying racing around the yard with our other dogs.  He is housebroken, walks on a leash and already knows, pretty much :), how to sit.   I appreciated that they do a home visit.  It's great that they take the time for this extra step.  The staff was amazing and the file provided was very complete and all shots were documents and up to date.  We would DEFINITELY go here again and are highly recommending to all.

Malachi
Malachi

Hi,

We adopted Malachi and have renamed him Mack. He is doing great! He gets along with our other dog and has settled in very well.  He is the best little boy!

The web address on the paper in his folder for dog licensing doesn't appear to be valid any longer.

He put the blanket on himself 😀

Molly is doing well except for not eating dog food or treats. First day home ate and drank well, but, since then no dog food. I've been making her scrambled eggs which she likes and chicken with white rice. Likes chicken, not rice. Going to try mashed potatoes which was suggested to me. We are going for are vet visit today. Not sure of her age as you told me May 8th 2014 and when I called pet link about micro chip and they told me her birthday was June 22nd 2009. Hoping vet will give me better idea . She walks well on leash and we walk 3x a day, gets along with my cats, only barks when someone knocks on door then stops. No accident in house when I leave her to go to work . I'm pleased with her . Just wish she would eat, but if I have to cook for her will do it, she what vet says

Hiii!! Finn (our dog) and “Boomer” (used to be Mickey) are doing awesome! They are best of buds, we are taking boomer to a vet hopefully this week! The kids are having a blast and we are so happy to have boomer in our home as our new family member!

Although,

He still is coughing it looks like his incision where he was neutered might be getting a bit infected :(

I believe the people who owned him possibly abusing him and he is not high energy like what was said in the file for him. We are working on everything and trying to make him feel comfortable.
