Klaus Hello! We are so in love with our new boy! You knew him as Klaus (a very fitting name for him). We decided to rename him to Riker (Star Trek fans here) since he didn't respond to Klaus with us anyhow. Took him to meet our vet right away. Turns out he's 38lbs of meat. We're guessing he was undernourished when they pound found him. Thank you for getting him healthy and happy. We also couldn't resist to get a DNA test to find out exactly what he is, such a unique pupper, we'll hear from that in a few weeks.
He is such a great dog! He's learning training so quickly, redirrects easily, and is getting along with his brother (min pin) and sisters (2 cats that he is hyper-focused on, still learning there), and did great getting a bath. His bro is still learning how to play on Rikers level, he suffers a bit from lil man syndrome. Riker loves to be chased and to play catch.
We love how sweet and lovable he is. We miss him every second we are away from him. We snuggle with him every chance we get.
We cannot thank you enough. When our lil one and he first met there was a lot of aggression/fear, we thought it wouldn't work. But thanks to your patience and know how, the meet and greet ended up going well. We are so over the moon with what a great dog he is and what a great fit he is in our family.
Looking forward to many years with this love bug. Next thing we can't wait to share with him is our camp trips which is the only time his lil bro is truly chill.
We'll keep you updated on instagram too! Here's a pic from this morning waking up in a chilly home with a warm blanket (Riker, Gunner, and Stormy).
Thank you,
The Cashions
