 We thought you might like an update on Loki (formerly Moblee). He is getting along great with his “twin” Fiona. He’s a little nervous around his Great Dane brother but yesterday they were running around the yard chasing each other and playing. He still has bouts of snarling/biting but we’ve figured out his trigger (when he’s elevated on the bed / chair/ sofa with a human and another human approaches) so now when he starts to growl he is simply put on the ground with no further interaction. Seems to be working. He loves walks and doesn't fuss at all when we go over his head to clip on his leash. He’s now letting me clean his face with a damp paper towel (last week he tried to eat the towel so big progress there). He’s learning to patiently sit in front of his food bowl before meals, like his siblings do. He is definitely grumpier in the late afternoon and evening, so we’ve been tiring him out with walks. He goes in his kennel at night with no problems. Cries a little when he is kenneled during the day (when we leave) or when I leave the house. He’s had a couple of poop accidents in the house, but we haven’t seen any marking. We took him to the vet but he wasn’t having any of the muzzle business so we will go back in a month. They gave us some doggie downers to give him the night before and morning of the visit. Lots of positive progress! |
