Woody is a handsome 1.5 year old Dachshund/Spaniel mix who is looking for a patient and loving forever home. Woody is a sweet but shy boy, who may take a moment to warm up but will quickly find himself begging for your affection. Woody has a fearful demeanor, why we are unsure, but he would do best in a patient home that understands he may take some time to get completely comfortable. Once he is comfortable, he is an affectionate boy and has a silly personality. He loves to play with toys, and is an active boy with energy. Woody has done with other small to medium sized dogs and loves to play, so we feel he may do best in a home with another dog that loves to play. A dog introduction is required with any current pets in the home to ensure it is a good fit. Woody is housebroken, knows how to use a dog door, kennel trained, and good on a leash with a harness. He does have a bit of separation anxiety, so he would do best in a home where his people are home more often then not. He has lived with a woman, man, and 2 young children; but he does better with woman, men takes time, and would do best in a home with no young children. It is best for the whole family, or everyone living in the home, to meet Woody before adoption. Woody would love a home with a yard to run in and lots of playtime. Woody weighs in full grown at just under 20 pounds. Woody is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, licensed, and vet checked.  His  adoption fee is $280 which includes a complimentary veterinary visit.
