Luna is a beautiful, sweet young girl looking for her forever home. Luna was originally born into the rescue in a loving foster home to a very shy and fearful mother. Luna took longer than her siblings to get adopted as it was discovered as a young pup that she had a heart murmur. After evaluation she was able to be adopted but would need her heart reexamined at age 1. Luna sadly made her way back to us while she was 1 & she came back to AZSDR still very timid and skittish. She has truly blossomed into a spunky, playful, loving companion. She also had her echocardiogram which determined her heart to be doing great and no further heart exams should be needed until she is 6! Luna is now ready for her forever family and is looking for a patient person who will allow her the time to come out of her shell and who is also willing to work with her quirky behaviors. Luna is a great eater; food motivated and will sit and stay for her food. Her love for food will also help her to gain trust and come out of her shell. She is fully potty trained and does her business outside if she has access, but she is also potty pad trained. She’d do best with another playful, friendly dog in the home. She is very submissive with other dogs and would love to have a pack to follow. She loves going on walks once she trusts you enough to put on the leash. She is very quiet and rarely barks, usually only in a playful manner. A large yard would be ideal as she loves to run and play with toys and other dogs in the yard. Once Luna has opened her heart to you, no amount of love could ever be enough.
