Rupert is a timid 2 year old Chihuahua/Dachshund mix looking for his forever home. He currently weighs 16 pounds and is full grown. Rupert is very shy as he originally came to us from the Humane Society where he was seized from a hoarding situation. He has never been without a canine companion and may feel most comfortable in a home with a confident and playful canine companion to bond with. Rupert has slowly warmed up to adults that go slow with him, but has not been around children that we know of. He may do okay with older/dog savvy children that will respect his boundaries. Rupert will need a patient home that understands he will require training as he adjusts in his forever home. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and vet checked. His adoption fee of $280 includes a free vet visit.
