Eddie is a darling young pup who hasn't had it easy in his first few months, but he is looking forward to a bright future in his forever home! Eddie is a 4.5 month old Dachshund mix who is one of four dogs who was trapped together to be rescued from a Phoenix park they had been dumped in. Having been through a lot for a youngster, Eddie is understandably timid with new people. Eddie warms up, but needs a very gentle family who will be extra patient and loving with his darling pup. Eddie is in ways looking for his very own emotional support dog in his forever family. Eddie has picked a "big brother" dog in his foster home and is very dependent upon him. Shy dogs often do best learning confidence and trust from watching another dog and Eddie has been no exception. Eddie does not like the kennel or leash, so he will need patience with leash training and a home where he is rarely left home alone and may not need to be kenneled. Eddie is well on his way to potty training, but is still a young pup with learning to do. He will need a patient and loving home who will never give up on him. Currently Eddie weighs 9 pounds, but he is still a growing young man.  He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, vet checked and microchipped. His adoption fee of $350 includes a free vet visit.
