Jethro and Leroy are just two peas looking for their new pod! They are 6yr old Chihuahua mixes, Jethro weighing in at 12lbs, Leroy at 15lbs. These boys are a bit shy when you first meet them. They do better with women, and are looking for an adult women home only. The previous home they came from originally had over 24 dogs in it and we feel the dogs were not cared for properly nor socialized as there were just too many dogs. Leroy is the more outgoing one, and Jethro follows his lead. With patience, they are the sweetest and cuddliest pair. They would do best in a home with no children so they can get all of the love and attention for themselves, which they definitely deserve. It is unknown how they are with cats. They need some reminders and patience with house training - they do know how to use a dog door and are kennel trained. These sweet twins are looking for a quiet home where they can be spoiled! They would love a secure backyard to run around in with each other, one that has a 6ft secure block wall as they have mastered the art of climbing small fences. They are used to sleeping in a kennel together at night, and free roaming in the home during the day. They love snuggling, kong toys with peanut butter, and being with their people/person. Due to their shyness, they would do best in a home where their person/people are home a lot and the home doesn't have too many visitors. They are both neutered, up to date on vaccines, dentals done, microchipped, and vet checked. Their adoption fee together is $400, and comes with complimentary vet visits for each.  To potentially adopt them, come to our shelter location at 1102 W Hatcher Road in Phoenix 85021, open Tuesday to Sunday 11am to 6pm. --Covid update: To adhere to CDC guidelines, we are open for adoptions only at a max capacity of 15 people in the building at a time.
