Tawanna is a 4 year old chihuahua dachshund mix looking for a loving forever home with a canine companion or two. Tawanna is one of 23 dogs who were recently rescue after being abandoned in a home. Arizona Small Dog Rescue has 11 of these dogs, one of whom is pregnant, and the other 12 were rescued by Lost Our Home rescue. All 11 dogs who came to AZSDR have been named after fallen officers who gave the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. Tawanna is a darling little girl with so much personality! Being one of 23 dogs, she is understandably a bit shy with new people, but seems to warm up very quickly and then loves attention. Tawanna does great with other small to medium sized dogs and will absolutely need to go to a home with a canine friend as she has never been alone without another dog a day in her life. She would love to be adopted with a friend from her prior home, but is more than happy to meet new friends as well. Tawanna is learning what toys are and learning to love them. She also loves chewy treats likes whimsys or greenies. Tawanna has some big ears, so we just know she will be a great listener. When you talk to her, she gives the most adorable head tilts. Tawanna weighs 13 pounds full grown. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and vet checked. Her adoption comes with 30 days of free pet insurance, and comes with a free vet visit.
