Rebel is an outspoken 2.5 month old Shepherd/ Terrier mix looking for her forever home where she can rule the castle! She currently weighs 13.8 pounds and still has some growing to do. Her mom, Trooper, weighs just over 30 pounds and is full grown, but we do not know how big dad was. Momma and pups had been found in Tuba City living in a bush behind someones yard. The civilian notified Tuba City Humane Society and volunteers where able to go out and locate the den where momma and puppies were hiding. Momma was very emaciated and unfortunately some of the puppies had already passed away. March 19th a volunteer from the Yavapai Humane Animal Trappers Search and Rescue was able to go up and catch momma and her 6 pups that were alive and brought them to a foster home. Dr. Cindy then transported momma and pups here to AZSDR! Rebel is named after fallen hero Ed Rebel, end of watch 6/28/1988. Rebel is the leader of the group and prefers to wear the pants her home. She is a total momma's girl and loves to be spoiled. Rebel is good with men, women, and children that can handle big puppy energy! She loves belly rubs but that's as much affection as she wants. Any attempt at kisses will be met with a paw to the face and a noise of frustration. She loves to play with dogs of all sizes but can be a bit rough so they know she is in charge. Rebel is a pro at the doggy door but will need a home that understands she needs all the puppy training. She needs a securely fenced yard in her new home where she can run off all her energy! No apartments or rentals with breed or weight restrictions. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and vet checked.
