Edenhofer is a loving 2.5 month old Shepherd/ Terrier mix looking for his forever home where he can get endless amounts of love! He currently weighs 12 pounds and still has some growing to do. His mom, Trooper, weighs just over 30 pounds and is full grown, but we do not know how big dad was. Momma and pups had been found in Tuba City living in a bush behind someones yard. The civilian notified Tuba City Humane Society and volunteers where able to go out and locate the den where momma and puppies were hiding. Momma was very emaciated and unfortunately some of the puppies had already passed away. March 19th a volunteer from the Yavapai Humane Animal Trappers Search and Rescue was able to go up and catch momma and her 6 pups that were alive and brought them to a foster home. Dr. Cindy then transported momma and pups here to AZSDR! Edenhofer was named after fallen hero Tyler Edenhofer end of watch 7/25/18. Edenhofer is a friendly boy that loves to make new friends of all kinds. Edenhofer is good with men, women, and children that can handle big puppy energy! He loves to play with dogs of all sizes especially if they will play with him. Edenhofer is a pro at the doggy door but will need a home that understands he needs all the puppy training . He needs a securely fenced yard in his new home where he can run off all his energy! No apartments or rentals with breed or weight restrictions. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and vet checked. His adoption includes a free vet visit as well as 30 days of free pet insurance.
